The Industrial Tree Plantation (ITP) Development Programme is a Government initiative implemented through the Malaysian Timber Industry Board (MTIB) to promote the cultivation of fast-growing forest plantation species. This program is matching grant for the development of forest plantations. The programme aims to ensure a sustainable, high-quality  and continuous supply of raw materials to support the growth of Malaysia???s timber industry.

Under the Thirteenth Malaysia Plan (RMKe-13) for the period of 2026 to 2030, the Government has provided an allocation for the implementation of the ITP Programme. This initiative targets the development of  forest plantations, with an estimated timber output of 760,000 cubic metres after eight (8) years, depending on the forest plantation species.

The ITP Programme is open to private companies, cooperatives, and Government agencies. Local company that meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to participate in this programme.
